Photographic safari have always relied on a professional photographer and the local safari guide to conducted the safaris. Thats because most professional photographers live and work outside Africa, so they require a local guide to assist their groups.

This is where Photographic Africa has changed the way photographic safaris are operated, our guides are not professional photographers, we offer safari/nature guides that are photography enthusiasts, nature guides that have found a passion for photography. They understand the concepts and principles of photography, but more importantly they are able to interpret the natural world which will provide you great insight into African animals their interactions with each other and their physical environment. By understanding what the animals are doing we are able to be in the right place at the right time for you to photograph them.

We also understand that not all photographers are at the same skill levels and people want to ask questions while on safari and other’s just want to be left alone. We offer a wide variety of workshops and safaris that are broadly divided into three types with plenty of over lap, which enables us to cater for photographers of all skill levels. By going on safari with photographic peer’s, all questions will become relevant to the group, new photographers will not feel intimidated by experienced photographers, who intern can focus solely on their photography.
